Post-secondary education
B.C. offshore school graduates are well equipped to succeed in their post-secondary studies through several different pathways. The British Columbia Dogwood Diploma is recognized internationally as a standard of high achievement and English language proficiency. Offshore school graduates have gone on to post-secondary studies in many different countries and diverse institutions including colleges, universities and technical or trade schools.
Many students choose Canada for post-secondary education so they can work in the country while completing their studies and after graduation. The Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) allows students to obtain an open work permit to gain valuable work experience. Skilled Canadian work experience gained through the PGWPP helps graduates qualify for permanent residency in Canada, through the Canadian Experience Class (Express Entry).
