Mental Health Resources

Your well-being and health are important. Being away from your family and friends while adjusting to a new culture can be difficult. Our feelings can become overwhelming, sometimes, preventing us from engaging in daily activities.

If you are experiencing a mental health issue, such as depression, anxiety, or extreme loneliness, make sure to reach out for help.

Talk to a friend, your school counsellor or an adult at your school.

You can also use Kids Help Phone, which is a free, confidential counselling service for youth. If you would prefer to call them immediately, their phone number is 1-800-668-6868.

Another telephone service accessible from anywhere in BC is the Crisis Line, which can be reached by dialling 310-6789.
