Some international student programs in B.C. may limit personal the use of computers to two hours per day. Individual schools may have policies restricting the use of computers. Review your school’s Code of Conduct or ask a teacher if you are unsure about the appropriate use of the Internet and your personal computer while at school.
Spending too much time on the computer (e.g., playing video or online games, or chatting online) may diminish the value of your experience while living and studying in B.C. Limiting your computer use may give you more time to meet new people, make new friends and improve your English language skills by getting more speaking practice.
